The mission of Walk and Bike Mendocino is to create happy, healthy, and connected communities by making it easy to walk and bike; we advocate for safe and complete streets, provide Safe Route to Schools pedestrian and bicycle safety training, organize bike rodeos, amongst many other community outreach services. The Ukiah Valley Trail Group supports the mission of Walk and Bike Mendocino by creating and maintaining a trail system that enhances our community’s quality of life and health. Both organizations are passionate about healthy physical activity — an active lifestyle is necessary for the health of ourselves and for our Earth. And it’s FUN! Walking, hiking, biking, and using public transit gives us an opportunity to slow down, share, and connect with our community.
