Lucy Kramer

Lucy’s passion for supporting  just, sovereign, and sustainable communities has brought her to Mendocino County where she lives on Ridgewood Ranch in Willits, CA.  Lucy has a degree in Environmental Studies from University of the Pacific where she served on her Associated Student Body Government as Commissioner of Wellness and Sustainability. Since graduating, Lucy has primarily worked to support Mendocino County’s local food movement as a Farmer Teacher Trainer Apprentice with Ecology Action, a Member of the Young Agrarians Committee, a Naturalist at Camp Mendocino, and an Environmental Justice Educator for The Beehive Design Collective. In 2018, Lucy served as an AmeriCorp VISTA for The Gardens Project of NCO supporting a network of 55 community gardens in Lake and Mendocino Counties. Lucy is excited to advocate for city and county policy and infrastructure to support safe streets for cyclists and pedestrians and to use education as a tool to break down barriers to active transportation like biking for commuters. Lucy is also a founding member of The Mendo Maidens, a women’s bike touring group raising awareness and funding to improve bike access in Mendocino County.
